2020-2021 SEASON CANCELLATION
2020-2021 ENCORE PERFORMANCES

Our symphony is among thousands of large and small orchestras providing unique cultural value to their communities. We thank our patrons, sponsors and friends for continuing to support us in this honorable mission. It is through this support we remain inspired and eager to return to the stage to share the joy of live music. This has been a very difficult past six months for our Board and our musicians, and we know it has been for you as well. We hoped we would be able to present at least a partial season, but due to the current COVID-19 situation the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre remains closed and rehearsal spaces are also unavailable. Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020-2021 season.

We are truly looking forward to the time when we can reconnect in person. In the meantime, please consider continuing your support of the Symphony by making a tax-deductible contribution. We are confident that, with everyone's help, we will come through this difficult time

Tax Deductible Donations

NEW! The CARES Act has created strong incentives for charitable giving in 2020. For example, with the standard deduction, you can take an additional $300 per taxpayer ($600 for a married couple) deduction for charitable gifts on your 2020 taxes. For those who plan to itemize, the deduction cap has been raised from 60% to 100%. Corporations can now deduct charitable donations up to 25% of taxable income, up from 10%. Learn more at 501c3.org.

Mailed donations can be sent to:

Charitable Gifts through RMDs

If you have reached 70 1/2 and have an IRA or other investment on which you must take the RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) as required by the IRS,  you have the option to take the total or a partial amount of your RMD and have it go directly to your favorite 501 (c) 3 nonprofit! This counts as your required tax payment and does not incur further payment by you. Contact your tax person for further information and remember that the Solano Symphony is a 501 (c) 3 and can be listed as the designated charity!  Thank you!
