Opening Concert

Details

Two-time winner of our Young Artists' Competition, cellist Brady Anderson has become a Solano Symphony favorite.  This fall, he will be performing R. Schumann's transformative Cello Concerto in A, Op. 129.  The concerto will be followed by the Symphony's exciting performance of P. Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, Op. 64.  This will prove to be an inspiring opening for our 38th season!

After a holiday-themed reception, guests will be treated to our Concert Master, Max Baluyev, playing the beautiful violin solo in "Winter," from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons

Leroy Anderson's music is always fun and topical, and his "A Christmas Festival" is no exception.  Of course, no holiday concert is complete without a few selections from P. Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker," Op. 71.  We fully expect you'll leave humming some holiday tunes, and filled with some holiday joy!
